Title: Community Social Worker
Wage: $28,155 - $30,155 commensurate with experience & education
Work Location: Holyoke, MA with travel in Western Massachusetts
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, flexible including some weekends/evenings
Type of Program: Supported Living
Employee Profile:
The Community Social Worker provides direct outreach services to adult program participants and community volunteers engaged in supportive growth oriented relationships. The ideal candidate must possess organizational and creative abilities; ability to work independently in a team environment and be flexible to meet program needs; knowledge of community agency systems; broad range of interpersonal skills to work with program participants, community households, and other professionals; group and individual counseling skills; and committed to the concept of the least restrictive alternative services. Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record, use of vehicle, and willingness to transport program participants in personal vehicle. The desire to do meaningful work and make a difference in someone’s life a must. Master’s degree in human service field and three years related experience or Bachelor’s degree with five years related experience. Bilingual/bicultural experience an asset.
