Title: Employment Coordinator
Salary: $14.50 per hour
Work Location: Salem, MA
Hours: 22.5 hours per week, flexible includes some weekends/evenings
Type of Program: Supported Employment
Employee Profile:
The Employment Coordinator develops and services employment relationships between individuals with disabilities and community employers, providing access to an array of employment, job training, and educational opportunities. Responsibilities include job development, job placement, job coaching, employer education and customer relations.
The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills both oral and written; ability to work independently in a team environment and be flexible to meet program needs; knowledge and respect for diverse population. Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record, access to vehicle, and willingness to drive individuals in the program. Desire to do meaningful work and make a difference in someone’s life a must. Associate’s degree plus one year experience or High School diploma plus three years related experience and/or training. One year of supervisory or human service experience desired. Bilingual/bicultural experience an asset.
