How to Give to Community Enterprises

ONLINE: Click here to make a credit-card contribution using a secure site.

DIRECT CONTRIBUTION:  Click below to download a contribution form, and send it, along with a contribution download form to Community Enterprises Development Department at the address indicated.  Download form.

WORKPLACE CAMPAIGNS:  Designate a gift to Community Enterprises through a workplace campaign or United Way.

MATCHING GIFTS:  Check on your employer's matching gift policies and send the company's forms along with your contribution.

EQUITIES:  You can get a charitable tax deduction for the current fair market value of any appreciated stock you have held for more than one year.  Call the development office, at (413) 584-1460, to find out how your broker can make a simple electronic stock transfer.  If your stock has depreciated, you are better off selling it first, taking a tax loss, and then contributing the proceeds to get a charitable deduction.

BEQUESTS:  Once you have taken care of your loved ones, you can designate Community Enterprises, Inc. as a direct or remainder beneficiary in your will.  You can also designate us as a remainder beneficiary of your retirement plan.  Unless you want to give a major portion of your assets to the state, it is essential to protect your life's work and your family by making a will.  For a booklet on making a charitable bequest, please call (413) 584-1460 or send a message to development@communityenterprises.com.

Why Your Financial Contributions Are Important

Community Enterprises Inc.receives part – but not all – of our operating and administrative costs from public funding. We are grateful to be able to compete for public funds, but government grants never cover all of the increased administrative costs they generate.

Private support enables us to develop innovative, nationally recognized programs. It gives us the flexibility to address emerging needs long before government programs can respond. While the economy is currently healthy, there is a growing gap between those who are equipped to thrive in the increasingly high-tech job market and those who do not have the skills to gain entry. More than ever, those who must overcome the greatest barriers to rewarding careers need Community Enterprises' expertise to help them lead independent lives.

The following programs would not exist without substantial private funding:
